A musical haven situated in the heart of Bangkok, developed exclusively for intermediate and advanced piano students seeking to cultivate their musical skills at an international standard.
Established by Supakorn Aekaputra, a Cambridge Music PhD candidate, graduate of King's College London's prestigious Department of Music, and Fellow of London College of Music with over 15 years' experience in teaching piano and music theory at college and diploma levels, MusPhilos specialises in providing the highest educational standard exclusively tailored for intermediate (Grade 5+) and advanced (Grade 8+) piano students wishing to seriously develop their musical skills.
Located in the heart of Bangkok (within 7-minute walk from BTS Saphan Khwai station), yet within a peaceful environment, the Centre takes pride in its many educational assets that can fully support the academic and musical needs of even the most advanced students. At MusPhilos, students benefit from learning with the Steinway-designed 7-foot Boston Grand Piano GP-215, together with access to nearly all important printed keyboard music by key composers from various world-class publishers (Henle Verlag, Edition Peters, Bärenreiter Verlag, Schirmer, ABRSM publishing, etc.), a wide collection of academic books on music, and thousands of music CDs ready for educational reference.
All of our lessons are individually tailor-made, by appointment, and conducted in a one-to-one setting to ensure that each student's academic and musical requirements are met at the highest standard possible.
"For someone who specialises in performing and teaching piano at advanced level, it is only natural that I choose to practise, perform, and teach on a piano from the Steinway Family."
As a classical pianist, music theorist, and piano instructor, I find the Boston GP-215 to perfectly correspond to what I was looking for: a semi-concert grand that is fully responsive to the musical demands of both myself and my students – one that not only brings out the wide range of dynamics, subtlety, tone colours, and timbres of various musical repertoires, but enhances the artistry and musicianship of its players as a whole.
