THE ART OF CHEATING: PRACTISING SMARTER, NOT LONGER

A Steinway Teacher & Educational Partner Workshop (STEP) by Yoon Seok Shin, Young Steinway Artist

5th November 2026 | 10.30 - 12.00 hrs.

Steinway Thailand is delighted to present an engaging and practical Steinway Teacher & Educational Partner workshop, The Art of Cheating, led by Young Steinway Artist Yoon Seok (John) Shin.

Behind its playful title lies a serious approach to intelligent practice. The workshop is designed to encourage teachers to think beyond simply “practising more,” and explore practical strategies that can help students become more independent, efficient, and thoughtful in the practice room. Drawing from Mr. Shin’s extensive experience as both a performer and educator, the session offers fresh perspectives that teachers can apply directly to their own teaching and guide their students towards more effective practice.

WORKSHOP HIGHLIGHTS

• Exploring how to identify what truly needs attention

• Finding efficient solutions to technical and musical challenges

• Making practice more purposeful
